Michael Taylor Returns To Lineup Wednesday
1 year agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Michael Taylor (head) is back patrolling center field and is hitting ninth in the batting order on Wednesday against the visiting Boston Red Sox and right-hander Garrett Whitlock. Taylor missed the last two games after being hit in the head by a pitch, but he managed to avoid a concussion and will be back in there on Wednesday. The 32-year-old veteran outfielder should continue to be the team's primary starter in center field for the foreseeable future with Byron Buxton still recovering from knee surgery last year. Taylor is hitting just .226 (42-for-186) on the season, but he's produced 10 home runs and 11 stolen bases while adding eight doubles, 22 RBI and 25 runs scored in 66 games.
