J.P. Crawford Out Of The Lineup Wednesday
1 year agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford (shoulder) is not in the team's starting lineup on Wednesday against the New York Yankees. It's not a surprise after he was forced from Tuesday's game early due to a right-shoulder contusion. However, the good news is the 28-year-old's X-rays came back negative, so he's considered day-to-day and could return for the series finale against the Yankees on Thursday. Jose Caballero is starting at shortstop and will hit leadoff on Wednesday against Yankees right-hander Jhony Brito. Crawford hasn't offered much for fantasy managers so far in 2023, hitting just .239 (57-for-238) with four home runs, 14 doubles, 24 RBI, one stolen base and 39 runs scored in 68 games (279 plate appearances).
