Bo Bichette Scratched With Thumb Discomfort
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette (thumb) has been scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Miami Marlins with left-thumb discomfort. We should have more information on Bichette's status later on Wednesday, so fantasy managers will want to check back then. For now, consider the 25-year-old to be day-to-day. With a well-timed off day coming on Thursday, hopefully he'll be able to return on Friday for the start of a series against the Oakland Athletics. Santiago Espinal will replace Bichette at the 6 and hit seventh on Wednesday against Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara. Bichette has been great this year with a .314 average (101-for-319) with 14 homers, 16 doubles, 46 RBI and 38 runs in 75 games. He leads the league with 101 total hits.
