Keaontay Ingram 2023 Outlook: Worth A Stash In Deep Leagues As Cardinals RB2
1 year agoArizona Cardinals running back Keaontay Ingram was given a limited workload in his rookie season, rushing just 27 times for 60 yards and one touchdown and catching four passes for 21 yards. However, he beat out Eno Benjamin, who was released in the middle of the 2022 campaign. The team didn't add much to the running back position, so he's set up to be the primary backup to James Conner. While the Cardinals are expected to have one of the worst offenses in the NFL if Kyler Murray (knee) misses most of the season, any direct backup RB is worth rostering in deep formats. Conner has missed at least two games in all six of his NFL seasons, meaning there's a good chance Ingram is thrust into the starting role for a handful of contests. He'll likely have a low ceiling on a team that could be contenders for the No. 1 overall pick in 2024, but he'll see plenty of touches and will be a decent flex option in all scoring systems in deep leagues.
