Joey Gallo Homers In Rehab Game
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Joey Gallo (hamstring) went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, a run scored, a walk and a strikeout in a minor-league rehab game with Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday. Gallo got the start in left field. Barring a setback, the left-handed slugger should return from the injured list before Tuesday's series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers. The 29-year-old remains a solid source of power -- he has 11 home runs and 23 RBI in 138 at-bats for the Twins so far in 2023 -- but he's going to be a drag on your team batting average, as he's hitting just .188 (26-for-138). Gallo was put on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring strain, but he should be ready to return for fantasy managers this week.
