Dylan Carlson Activated From Injured List
2 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals activated outfielder Dylan Carlson (ankle) from the 10-day injured list on Friday and optioned outfielder/infielder Juan Yepez to Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. The Cardinals also activated right-hander Jake Woodford (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list and optioned him to Memphis. Carlson has been out since May 17 and was hitting a disappointing .230 (23-for-100) with four doubles, a triple, two home runs, 12 RBI and 12 runs scored in 32 games before going on the IL. St. Louis will play him every day in the outfield, though, with both Tyler O'Neill (back) and Lars Nootbaar (back) still on the shelf. The 24-year-old is starting in right field and is batting ninth on Friday against Cincinnati Reds right-hander Ben Lively.
