Anthony Rendon Activated From Injured List
2 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels activated third baseman Anthony Rendon (groin) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned infielder Livan Soto to Double-A Rocket City in a corresponding move. Rendon has been out since May 15 due to a left-groin strain, but he's now back with the Halos and should be back at third base on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs and right-hander Hayden Wesneski. The 33-year-old didn't go on a minor-league rehab assignment, so he could be a little slow to get going again offensively. Although he had just one home run in 103 at-bats before his injury, Rendon had been playing better so far in 2023, hitting .301 (31-for-103) with four doubles, 20 RBI and two stolen bases. Fantasy managers should get him back into their lineups.
