Tyrion Davis-Price 2023 Outlook: Uphill Battle To Be Enter Fantasy Radar
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price rushed 34 times for 99 yards (2.9 YPC) as a rookie after being selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. As the stats show, he was largely ineffective in his limited backfield role and never had fantasy value in 2022. Now that Christian McCaffrey is a 49er and Elijah Mitchell should start the season healthy, it's tough to find a path toward fantasy viability for the former LSU ball carrier. Undrafted running back Jordan Mason rushed 43 times for 258 yards (6.0 YPC) last season and was clearly the better RB, so there's a chance Davis-Price doesn't even make the 53-man roster. The 49ers released Trey Sermon after one failed season, and that could be Davis-Price's fate if he doesn't impress mightily this offseason.
