David Bell 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Might See Less Playing Time In Year Two
2 years agoCleveland Browns wide receiver David Bell saw steady playing time in his rookie season last year. After being drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Bell played over 50% of the team's snaps in eight of the 16 games he played in. It didn't correlate to much production on the field (24 catches for 214 yards), but it was encouraging to see the rookie get as much playing time as he did. But in year No. 2, Bell could see a decrease in playing time. The Browns added Elijah Moore via trade this offseason and drafted rookie Cedric Tillman in the third round -- 25 picks earlier than where Bell was drafted one year earlier. The top three wide receiver spots are locked in Cleveland's offense. Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and Moore will lead the way, and Bell and Tillman will likely fight for the fourth spot during Training Camp. The second-year wideout could win the WR4 job, but he will only provide a little fantasy value. Bell is ranked 245th overall on RotoBaller and is mainly a dynasty league stash.
