Daniel Bellinger 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Waller’s Arrival Spoils Year Two Breakout
2 years agoNew York Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger was a fourth-round pick in last year's NFL Draft and became the team's possible future. In his rookie season, there were plenty of positives from Bellinger, and he started to come onto the scene early on. The rookie tight end played 94% of the Giants' snaps and caught five passes for 38 yards and one touchdown in a Week 6 win. But an eye injury the following week caused him to miss the next four games. He finished the year with 30 catches for 268 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. Bellinger wasn't fantasy relevant in his first season in New York but was a streamable option in deeper leagues. He finished as the TE34 and averaged 6.25 PPR points per game. With the Giants adding Darren Waller this offseason, Bellinger will back up in 2023. The second-year tight end will have a hard time making a fantasy impact this season unless Waller goes down with an injury.
