George Springer Steals His Ninth Base Thursday
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer went 2-for-4 with his ninth stolen base of the season in the team's 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. On the year as a whole, Springer is now hitting .259 (56-for-216) with five doubles, a triple, seven home runs, 22 RBI, nine steals and 31 runs scored in 238 plate appearances and 55 games. To close out the month of May, he was electric at the plate, going 17-for-45 (.378) with four doubles, a triple, two home runs, six RBI and two stolen bases in 12 games played. The 33-year-old has so far remained healthy, too, which has been a problem for him in recent seasons. Continue to trot Springer out into your starting lineups on a daily basis.
