Riley Greene Placed On 10-Day Injured List
2 years agoThe Detroit Tigers placed outfielder Riley Greene (leg) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a stress fracture in his left fibula. Greene will get a second opinion, and there is no timetable for his return. Greene injured his left leg in the outfield on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers. He'll be out well beyond the 10 days and could eventually need to be moved to the 60-day injured list, so fantasy managers can only sit tight and keep him stashed for the foreseeable future. It's a tough break, as the 22-year-old was hitting a strong .296 (60-for-203) with nine doubles, three triples, five home runs, 18 RBI and six stolen bases in 52 games in his second MLB season. Matt Vierling (back) is also hurt, prompting the Tigers to trade for Jake Marisnick on Tuesday.
