Michael Kopech Allows Two Homers In Monday's Loss
1 year agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Michael Kopech fell to 3-5 in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Angels. Kopech pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on five hits (including two home runs) and two walks with 10 strikeouts. The 27-year-old continued to flash his strikeout prowess, but the walks and home run issues that have plagued him throughout the season re-emerged. Kopech now has a 4.52 ERA, 10.22 K/9 rate, 4.52 BB/9 rate, and 2.04 HR/9 rate through 11 starts. He should have a chance to rebound in his next start against the Tigers.
