Max Kepler Comes Off Injured List
2 years agoThe Minnesota Twins reinstated outfielder Max Kepler (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and optioned outfielder Kyle Garlick to Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move. Kepler will return to the Twins after skipping a minor-league rehab assignment. The 30-year-old left-handed hitter landed on the injured list on May 13, and he should return to a pretty regular role in right field for the Twins, at least when the team is facing right-handed pitching. He is back in the starting lineup right away on Monday, starting in right and hitting sixth against Houston Astros right-hander J.P. France. Kepler was hitting just .212 (21-for-99) with five doubles, six home runs and 14 RBI in 28 games played before his hamstring injury.
