Jordan Romano Earns 12th Save
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Jordan Romano was called upon to protect a three-run lead versus the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. The 30-year-old needed only 16 pitches to eliminate the Twins hopes of a come back. He did allow a single in the inning, but also struck out three batters to earn his 12th save of the season. Romano holds a 3.00 ERA with a 27/6 K/BB over 21 innings of work this season. Romano remains one of the better closers in baseball and should be rostered in most formats.
