Eugenio Suarez Returns To Drive In A Run
2 years agoSeattle Mariners third baseman Eugenio Suarez (foot) returned to the starting lineup on Thursday and went 0-for-2 with a bases-loaded walk to secure an RBI in the 3-2 win over the Oakland Athletics. Suarez left Wednesday's game early after fouling a ball off his foot, but he was right back in there the next day. It was nice to see the veteran third baseman back in there a day later, but he's gone just 5-for-28 (.179) with a homer, eight RBI and 13 strikeouts in his last eight games to drop his season slash line to .222/.330/.330 with five doubles, five home runs, 29 RBI, one stolen base and 19 runs scored in 218 trips to the plate over 50 games. Fantasy managers may want to keep the 31-year-old on the bench until he picks things up at the plate.
