Brandon Lowe Expects To Return Thursday
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe (neck) said his stiff neck is "100 times better," and he expects to be available off the bench on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays. It's highly unlikely he'll start against left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. Lowe expects to be back in the starting lineup on Thursday for the series finale against Toronto. The 28-year-old was scratched from Tuesday's lineup, but it's obviously not a very serious injury and he should be just fine. The left-handed hitter has left the yard eight times and has driven in 24 runs in 145 at-bats so far this year, but he's hitting just .200 (29-for-145) with a .299 on-base percentage and 48:21 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
