Tyrese Maxey Ends Season With A 17-Point Effort
2 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey had 17 points on 5-for-12 shooting when the team was picked apart by the Celtics in Sunday's Game 7. Maxey added three rebounds and four assists, and he was likely the only Sixer satisfied with his efforts in the horrible 112-88 blowout loss. The young guard had a career year in 2022-23, averaging 20.3 points per game, and he could become an even bigger piece for Philadelphia next season if James Harden decides to move on. Maxey upped his scoring average to 24.8 and had 5.4 assists in games without Harden this season.
