J.D. Martinez Comes Off Injured List
2 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers activated designated hitter J.D. Martinez (back) from the 10-day injured list on Thursday night. It was always a possibility that the Dodgers would get Martinez back for another crucial three-game series against the division-rival San Diego Padres this weekend, and now it's official. The 35-year-old veteran slugger didn't go on a minor-league rehab assignment, so it will be interesting to see if his timing is off at all upon his return. Fantasy managers should expect Martinez to be back in Friday's starting lineup against Padres left-hander Blake Snell. In his first 23 games as a Dodger, Martinez has hit .250 (22-for-88) with nine doubles, two triples, four home runs and 15 RBI in 98 plate appearances.
