Brock Purdy Expected To Be Ready By Training Camp
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that barring any setbacks, quarterback Brock Purdy (elbow) is expected to be back by training camp at the end of July. Purdy has already been making throwing motions with a towel, and he's expected to begin throwing a football again in June. The Niners have already said that the 23-year-old is the favorite to be the team's starter under center in 2023 if he's ready after having surgery to fix the right UCL in his throwing elbow after the season. It's one of the reasons why there have been so many Trey Lance trade rumors this offseason. Purdy led San Fran deep into the postseason and completed 67.1% of his passes for 1,374 yards, 13 touchdowns and four picks in nine games (five starts) during the regular season. He'll be a QB2 with upside in fantasy in his sophomore season.
