Alex Wood Goes 3 2/3 Innings In Rehab Start
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants left-hander Alex Wood (hamstring) made his first minor-league rehab start for Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday and allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits while walking none and striking out one in 3 2/3 innings pitched. It was Wood's first game action since he injured his hamstring on April 18, so the 32-year-old southpaw will likely make at least several more rehab appearances before being activated from the 15-day injured list to rejoin San Fran's starting rotation. Wood should remain stashed in all fantasy formats, as he had a nice 1.80 ERA (3.55 FIP), 1.40 WHIP, six walks and 11 strikeouts in 10 innings in his first three starts before getting hurt.
