Carlos Correa Out With Back Tightness
2 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (back) is out of Monday's lineup against the Chicago White Sox with back tightness. Correa was listed in the original starting lineup, but manager Rocco Baldelli thought it would be a one- to two-day thing when Correa sat out on Sunday. It doesn't sound like a very serious issue, so the 28-year-old shortstop should be back in there for Minnesota on Tuesday. Kyle Farmer is getting another start at the 6 on Monday and will bat fifth in the lineup against White Sox right-hander Dylan Cease. Correa has gotten off to a slow start at the plate in his first eight games in 2023, going 6-for-33 (.182) with two doubles, no home runs, two RBI and two runs scored in 36 plate appearances with 10 strikeouts and three walks.
