Joey Gallo Still Out Monday
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder/first baseman Joey Gallo (side) remains out of the starting lineup on Monday against the Chicago White Sox. Gallo has been dealing with right side tightness for a while now and was removed from Friday's game as a precaution, and he hasn't played since. The 29-year-old left-handed slugger doesn't have any structural damage, though, and he remains day-to-day for now. However, he'll need to make some progress soon to avoid landing on the injured list. His fantasy managers want him back as soon as possible after he hit three home runs and drove in seven runs in his first seven games with the team to begin the season. Donovan Solano continues to start at first base in Gallo's absence, and he's hitting third on Monday against White Sox right-hander Dylan Cease.
