Bryce Harper Takes Batting Practice On The Field
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow) took regular batting practice on the field at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, according to manager Rob Thomson. The plan is for Harper to hit on the field again on Thursday at Citizens Bank Park. The 2021 National League MVP had Tommy John surgery last November to fix a torn UCL that prevented him from throwing. It's unclear if Harper will be able to play right field at all this year, but he's progressing toward a return to designated hitter duties around the All-Star break. Thomson said he's unsure when Harper might go on a minor-league rehab assignment, but all signs point to good progress so far. Needless to say, the left-handed slugger should be stashed in all fantasy formats.
