Nathan MacKinnon Reaches 100-Point Mark
2 years agoColorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon finished with three points to reach the 100-point mark for the first time in his NHL career in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime victory against the Sharks. MacKinnon's game-winning breakaway goal in overtime capped off his multi-goal night, while he became the seventh player in the league to get to the 100-point mark this season. MacKinnon's achievement is particularly impressive when considering the fact that he has played in 65 games this season, with the Avalanche forward ranking third in the NHL in points per game. The 27-year-old is in terrific form heading into the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, where the Avalanche are the defending champions and prepare to make another deep run this year with MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen leading the way offensively.
