Wilmer Flores Sitting Again Monday
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants infielder Wilmer Flores is sitting out for the third straight game on Monday. David Villar is starting at third base and is hitting sixth, while LaMonte Wade Jr. is at first base and batting leadoff against the Chicago White Sox and right-hander Michael Kopech. Flores has only played in one game so far in 2023, going 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout, and it looks like he'll only be in San Fran's starting lineup when the team faces a left-handed pitcher. That will significantly limit his fantasy upside in deeper leagues. The 31-year-old veteran infielder's stock is definitely down after he struggled to a .229/.316/.394 slash line with a .710 OPS, 19 home runs, 71 RBI and 72 runs scored in 151 games for the Gigantes in 2022.
