We already shed 42 teams, so we are at less than half of what we started with. We still have eight exciting games around today since FDU pulled arguably the greatest upset in college basketball history, or at least in recent history (sorry UMBC). A team that has an average height of 6'3" beat a team that had a 7'4" guy. Come on!
There are some blue bloods on this slate. There's a lot of Big East Flavor, a battle of Wildcats, and the Big and maybe not-so-bad (at least in a good way) 12(10). What could possibly go wrong?
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/19/23, starting at 12:10 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.
DraftKings CBB DFS Guards
Markquis Nowell, Kansas State ($9,200)
Nowell had his way with Montana State, but hey, that's what he was supposed to do. Doing that against the Kentucky guards is going to be a little more difficult. I've used Nowell a lot this year, and the reason is simple: the points are just gravy. He does everything else so well that he can drop 50s all over the place. He has done so twice in the last three games. He's going to need a big game against Kentucky, so if you want to pay up at guard, it should be here.
Demetre Roberts, Fairleigh Dickinson ($7,400)
Roberts has scored in double figures in every March game and hasn't been under 25 DraftKings points this month either. He's getting hot at the right time. He wasn't all that efficient against Purdue, but he was one of the main reasons for the unlikely victory. He contributes across the board for the Knights and will be at the forefront of another upset bid. This seems like a very reasonable price for a sure 25.
Mike Miles, TCU ($6,900)
This is what TCU fans have been waiting to see. Miles racked up 26 points and 40.5 DraftKings points in the win over Arizona State. He was putting up games like that on the regular before his knee injury that cost him three weeks in February and limited him the rest of the month when he came back. Miles had shown flashes of his former self lately, but this was the game where it all came together. He was slicing and getting to the rim and the foul line. Miles has now scored in double figures in four straight games. He has the highest ceiling of anyone in this price range.
Jaden Akins, Michigan State ($5,200)
Akins has been the most consistent Spartan on their stretch run. The first round against USC was no different. Akins was in double figures for the fifth straight game. He'll grab a few boards as well, but Akins is mostly just a scorer. Tyler Kolek is playing for Marquette today, but I doubt he's at 100%. So, I'll be using Jones and likely Akins against him. He provides a nice discount over Hoggard and is still a good way to get exposure to the Spartans' backcourt.
Also consider: Adam Flagler, Baylor ($8,100); A.J. Hoggard, Michigan State ($7,800); Alex Ducas, St. Mary's ($7,400); Kam Jones, Marquette ($6,500); Nelly Cummings, Pittsburgh ($7,000); Wooga Poplar, Miami ($5,000); Bryan Greenlee, Florida Atlantic ($4,000); Dale Bonner, Baylor ($3,800)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards
Trayce Jackson-Davis, Indiana ($10,900)
TJD has been Indiana's focal point for the better part of three months now. He has at least 52 DraftKings points in five straight and at least 45 in 14 of the last 16 games. No, I'm not afraid of Miami slowing him down. We are about to see if one player can indeed still dominate a tournament the way that Danny Manning did in 1988. Jackson-Davis could be that guy, and I can guarantee you that he will be in my lineups every step of the way.
Norchad Omier, Miami ($7,900)
Many questions were surrounding Omier and his ankle that he hurt against Duke after just one minute in the ACC Tournament. It appears to be fine since Omier notched his 15th double-double of the season and played 36 minutes against Drake, his highest minutes total of the season. We still get Omier at a bit of a discount here against Indiana. It's going to be fun watching he and TJD grapple in this one. It might be fruitful for us to use both of them.
Sean Moore, Fairleigh Dickinson ($5,500)
Moore put on a show in his hometown of Columbus in the upset of Purdue with 19 points and 32.25 DraftKings points. Guess what? He's still in his hometown. I do expect FDU to hang around again in this one and they are still priced like they were against Purdue. It's not that I necessarily expect them to win, it's all based on production for the price.
Giancarlo Rosado, Florida Atlantic ($4,600)
Rosado is a high-energy guy off the FAU bench. He's a very efficient scorer and his normally solid work on the boards could be highlighted agianst a smaller team like Fairleigh Dickinson. I will have a healthy dose of FAU players as well because this game intrigues me with the players priced largely the same as they were in the first round when they were both underdogs. They make a lot of things fit.
