Brian Elliott Starts For Tampa On Saturday
2 years agoTampa Bay Lightning goaltender Brian Elliott will start in Saturday's game against Montreal. The team kicks off a back-to-back set and Andrei Vasilevskiy will be kept fresh for Sunday when there's a much tougher matchup scheduled against New Jersey. Elliott is getting his second start in five games. He beat Chicago 3-1 with a 22-save effort last weekend. The veteran ended a four-game losing streak with the result. Recent times haven't been too kind for Elliott, but he still has a good 10-5-2 record for the season. The 37-year-old has given up 3.16 goals per game with a .896 save percentage and one shutout. The Lightning are huge favorites for Saturday's contest and Elliott should add another victory to his tally.
