Dolphins Sign Braxton Berrios To One-Year Deal
2 years agoThe Miami Dolphins signed former New York Jets wide receiver Braxton Berrios to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday, according to a league source. Berrios played for the New England Patriots in 2018, the Jets from 2019-2022 and will now stay in the AFC East with the Dolphins. The 27-year-old will give Miami more receiving depth and can also serve as a returner on special teams. In 17 games (two starts) for the Jets last year, he caught 18 of his 32 targets for 145 yards. His best season came in 2021, when injuries to New York's receiving corps allowed him to take on a bigger role and catch 46 passes for 431 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games. It's unlikely that Berrios will move the fantasy needle in South Beach.
