Cowboys Expected To Release Ezekiel Elliott
2 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys are set to part ways with running back Ezekiel Elliott and are expected to release him. Elliott is expected to be designated as a post-June 1 cut. The 27-year-old two-time NFL leading rusher has run out of gas the last two years in Dallas and will look to latch on with another team as a short-yardage/goal-line option out of the backfield. It's the end of an era for Dallas, and Zeke will finish his tenure for the Cowboys with 8,262 rushing yards and 68 touchdowns in seven seasons, including four 1,000-yard campaigns. Tony Pollard, who the team used the franchise tag on, will take over as the team's primary RB and will have high-end RB1 upside in 2023 for fantasy managers.
