Seahawks Could Be Ideal Landing Spot For Anthony Richardson
2 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks, who own the No. 5 overall pick in this year's draft, could be the ideal landing spot for University of Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson now that the team signed Geno Smith to a three-year contract extension on Monday. Locking up Smith will allow Seattle to draft a franchise QB that they can take their time to develop. Richardson is the most physically gifted and the rawest signal-caller of this year's class. "They don't grow on trees," general manager John Schneider said. "It's probably the hardest position to acquire talent that everyone feels very confident in." Richardson thoroughly impressed with his elite athleticism at last week's NFL combine, putting him in firm position to come off the board early in the first round of April's draft.
