Matthew Tkachuk Voted MVP At The All-Star Game
2 years agoFlorida Panthers right wing Matthew Tkachuk picked up the MVP award at the NHL All-Star Game for his contribution to the Atlantic Division's triumph. He notched three goals and two assists in a 10-5 semifinal victory over the Metropolitan Division and added one goal and one assist when the Atlantic beat the Central Division 7-5 in the final. Tkachuk joined Pavel Bure as the only Panthers players to be voted the Most Valuable Player at the All-Star Game. He's also the 10th player to be voted the MVP while representing the host city. It's another memorable chapter in Tkachuk's wonderful debut campaign in Florida. He has tallied 25 goals and 66 points in 49 appearances for the year. Tkachuk will resume the season on Feb. 6 versus the Lightning with a six-game point streak that includes four multi-point efforts.
