Jaren Jackson Jr. Posts 28 Points, Five Blocks Sunday
2 years agoMemphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. crushed it at both ends of the floor in Sunday's 112-100 win over Indiana, scoring a game-high 28 points and swatting away five shots. He shot 12-for-19 from the field with a 3-for-8 record from deep and added eight rebounds to his tally with one assist and one steal. Hopefully, the Grizzlies scorekeeper didn't have anything to do with Jackson Jr.'s superb all-around line. The 23-year-old has developed into a huge defensive presence, averaging 3.2 blocks per game, and he has also proven himself as a solid shooter. Jackson Jr. finished January with 41 percent shooting from deep and his overall efficiency has jumped from last year's miserable 41.5 percent to nearly 50 percent.
