Carter Hart Earns His First Shutout
2 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart recorded his first shutout of the season with 40 saves when the team defeated Winnipeg 4-0 on Saturday. This was a very impressive effort from the young goalie against a team that averages 3.18 goals per game. Hart became the seventh netminder in franchise history to post a 40-save shutout in a regular-season contest. There have been some very tough times for Hart during the season, but his numbers are looking solid overall, with the 24-year-old having a 15-14-8 record with a 2.88 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage. He heads into the All-Star break with a 5-3-2 run.
