2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running backs Christian McCaffrey (calf) and Elijah Mitchell (groin) are both considered day-to-day with minor injuries after the Divisional Round win on Sunday over the Dallas Cowboys. Head coach Kyle Shanahan expects both McCaffrey and Mitchell to play this Sunday in the NFC Championship against the Philadelphia Eagles. CMC saved his fantasy day against Dallas with a rushing touchdown, but he racked up only 77 scrimmage yards on 16 touches (10 carries, six catches). Mitchell, meanwhile, handled 14 carries for 51 yards and wasn't targeted through the air. We'll monitor their practices statuses this week, but all signs point to McCaffrey being the lead back yet again against a tough Eagles defensive front this Sunday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
