Broncos Defense Allows 28 Points In Week 18
2 years agoThe Denver Broncos defense had a pedestrian day in the 31-28 win over the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday. They allowed a combined three touchdown passes to quarterbacks Justin Herbert and Chase Daniel while failing to intercept a pass and sacking Herbert just once on the day. It was a meaningless game for both teams, but the Chargers surprisingly played most of their starters for the majority of the contest. The Broncos D managed to recover two fumbles and surrendered 352 yards of offense to the Bolts. Denver's defense struggled a bit down the stretch and finished the year allowing 21.1 points per game, but they also allowed only 320 total yards per game, seventh-best in the NFL. They finished tied for 25th in overall fantasy points, so they are unlikely to be on the radar in 12-team leagues entering drafts this fall.
