2 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Gary Payton II (conditioning) is set to make his season debut against the Detroit Pistons on Monday. Payton has been sidelined all season while he recovered from offseason core muscle surgery. The expectation is that the Blazers are going to ease Payton into action. That being said, fantasy managers don't need to rush and grab Payton off the waiver wire. He was a key contributor off the bench for the Golden State Warriors last season. It's uncertain what kind of role he's going to have with the Blazers. Possibly, Payton holds deep league value, but it's hard to imagine him being able to produce 12-team league value.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
