Michael Pittman Jr. Will Continue To Underwhelm In Week 17
2 years agoWide receiver Michael Pittman Jr.'s roller-coaster performance throughout the 2022 NFL season is a microcosm of how the Indianapolis Colts offense has struggled. Case in point: He had 7.9 fantasy points in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers after tallying 19 in Week 15 versus the Minnesota Vikings. He could have a solid outing in Week 17 against the New York Giants, a team that surrenders an average of 32.65 fantasy points to wide receivers. However, they are also tied for sixth in pass-rush win rate at 44 percent, and Dexter Lawrence is tied for the second-best pass-rush win rate among defensive tackles at 17 percent. With quarterback Nick Foles also making his second consecutive start for the Colts, expect a low ceiling for his receivers. Therefore, Pittman could be a stretch as a WR3/flex if better options have gone dry.
