Justin Fields Won't Be Shut Down
2 years agoThe Chicago Bears will not shut down quarterback Justin Fields (foot, shoulder) for the final two games of the regular season against the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings, according to head coach Matt Eberflus. Fields hurt his previously injured non-throwing shoulder and had his foot stepped on in the Week 16 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Saturday, and he said after the game that he couldn't bear full weight on his injured foot but expected to be "good to go." Doctors previously told Fields his left shoulder would be a "nagging injury all year." The Bears were eliminated from the playoffs in Week 13 and are riding an eight-game losing streak, but Fields will be available to fantasy managers the rest of the way. "He's good to go," Eberflus said. "He's healthy, he's ready to go for this week."
