Mike White Likely Out Next Two Games
2 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Mike White (ribs) won't suit up for the Week 15 matchup against the Detroit Lions. The 27-year-old did practice this week, but it sounds like this could be a multiple week absence for him. It is being reported that White is likely to miss Week 15 and the Thursday Night matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16. It's a shame considering White has done very well since taking over as the team's starting quarterback. Former first round pick Zach Wilson will be asked to take over under center for at least the upcoming game against the Lions. Possibly, Wilson can earn the starting job back if he plays well during these next two games. Fantasy managers shouldn't consider him anything more than a low-end QB2 for fantasy purposes. Hopefully, White is able to recover faster than expected, but it sounds like the team is preparing to start Wilson for the next two games.
