Braves Acquire Hoy Park From The Red Sox
2 years agoThe Atlanta Braves acquired infielder/outfielder Hoy Park from the Boston Red Sox on Friday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Park was already traded from the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Red Sox in November. The 26-year-old played in only 23 games for the Pirates last season, slashing .216/.276/.373 with two home runs, six RBI, seven runs scored and one stolen base. He'll serve as organizational depth for the Braves moving forward and is likely to begin the 2023 season with Triple-A Gwinnett. Park has played in 68 major-league games over the last two years for the Bucs and New York Yankees and has hit just .201/.291/.346 with a .638 OPS, five home runs, 20 RBI, 23 runs scored and two stolen bases in 210 plate appearances.
