Zach Wilson To Start Against Lions
2 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson will return as the starter under center in Week 15 against the Detroit Lions on Sunday after team doctors refused to clear Mike White (ribs) for contact before Sunday's game. Before this news, the Jets elevated Wilson from No. 3 to No. 2 after he was a healthy scratch the last three weeks. But now the 23-year-old second-year signal-caller will make his first start since Week 11, with veteran Joe Flacco backing him up. Wilson has completed just 56 percent of his passes for 1,279 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions in his seven starts in 2022 and has looked like he's taken a step back from his rookie campaign in 2021. He has a great matchup against Detroit's D, but Wilson shouldn't be trusted as anything more than a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues.
