Pat Freiermuth Absent Again Thursday
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (foot) missed a second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. Despite missing practice on Wednesday, Freiermuth said that he still expected to play in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers. However, with two DNPs now under his belt, his status is certainly worth watching this weekend. Freiermuth has been a must-start TE1 in fantasy this year when healthy, as he comes into Week 15 as the TE5 in half-point PPR scoring with 53 receptions, 630 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. He caught three of his six targets for 33 yards and his second TD of the year in the Week 14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. If he ends up not playing, Zach Gentry would be afforded more playing time as Pittsburgh's No. 1 tight end.
