Tyquan Thornton Could Have Expanded Role Against Cardinals
2 years agoNew England Patriots rookie wide receiver Tyquan Thornton could have an expanded role in Monday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Jakobi Meyers (concussion) hasn't practiced and remains in concussion protocol. He logged 21 snaps and caught two of three targets for 31 yards in last Thursday's loss to the Bills. The 22-year-old has caught 12 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown over eight games in 2022. The Patriots rookie will compete with DeVante Parker, Nelson Agholor, and Kendrick Bourne for targets in New England's passing game if Meyers is inactive. Thornton is a boom-or-bust-flex in deep-league formats, even if he does see an uptick in targets against the Cardinals in Week 14.
