Patrik Laine Returns With A Two-Goal Effort
2 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets winger Patrik Laine ended a seven-game absence with a nice two-goal effort at his old barn against Winnipeg on Friday, leading the team to a 4-1 victory. It took him fewer than seven minutes to get the first one and Laine added a second goal in the early stages of the second period. These were his only shots on goal in 19:55 of ice time, and he also tallied one block and two penalty minutes with a plus-two rating. Laine has recorded four goals and two assists in nine games this season, and he should be a scoring machine going forward, as he has linked up with Johnny Gaudreau, who boasts the eight-most assists in the league since 2018-19.
