Did Matthew Stafford Get Injured In Week 11 Against The Saints?
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was taken to the locker room and placed in concussion protocol during Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. Per league policy, he won't return to the contest.
It's a concerning development considering Stafford was in concussion protocol just a few days ago. Not only are the Rams without Stafford for the rest of the game, but John Wolford (neck) is also inactive. As a result, third-string quarterback Bryce Perkins entered the game. Look for him to use his mobility to help lead Los Angeles down the field throughout the duration of Stafford's absence.
Matthew Stafford Fantasy Football Outlook
Scary stuff for the Rams' star pivot who just cleared the NFL's concussion protocol ahead of Week 11's matchup with the New Orleans Saints. He'll now be evaluated for another concussion.
Just a year removed from winning the 2021 Super Bowl title, the 2022 campaign continues to unravel for the Rams. L.A. now falls to 3-7 on the year after their Week 11 loss to New Orleans. With Cooper Kupp already on IR, the Rams will likely be extremely cautious with their franchise QB.
We'll wait for more news, but it appears likely that Stafford will re-enter the NFL's concussion protocol program and it wouldn't be surprising to see him sidelined for an extended period.
