2 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay won't say yet if running back Cam Akers will play in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he did say "there is a possibility." Akers returned to practice this week and wasn't listed on the final injury report on Friday. The 23-year-old fell out of favor with the coaching staff and was put on the trade block, but the Rams were unable to move him and are now trying to reinsert him into their backfield. Akers hasn't played since Week 5, though, so even if he's active on Sunday, there's a good chance he'll be in some sort of timeshare with Darrell Henderson Jr. and Malcolm Brown. LA's backfield is currently one to avoid while in a state of uncertainty and disarray, but Akers is worth stashing after being dropped in most single-year leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
