D'Andre Swift Not 100 Percent Healthy
2 years agoDetroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) returned to action in a Week 8 loss to the Miami Dolphins for the first time since Week 3, but he's still not 100 percent. Head coach Dan Campbell openly regretted how much work the team gave Swift in his return last Sunday. "We probably gave Swift one too many carries. We love Swift. Glad he's out there. But he's not back," Campbell said. Swift had a team-high 33 snaps at the position, but he had just five carries for six yards and caught all five targets for 27 yards and a touchdown. He said his role will grow as he gets healthier, but it's becoming hard to trust him in this backfield with Jamaal Williams also involved. Until the 23-year-old RB gets back to full health and receivers more of a full workload, he'll be more of a touchdown-dependent, low-end RB2 for fantasy managers.
