Dolphins Have Confidence In Skylar Thompson
2 years agoMiami Dolphins rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson is making his first career start in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings, and the Dolphins have plenty of confidence in him. Head coach Mike McDaniel said the team would rather go with the QB that has practiced and prepared all week. Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) has already been ruled out, and Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) was in the concussion protocol during the practice week. Bridgewater has been cleared to be active on Sunday, but the Dolphins feel more comfortable using Thompson this week. The Kansas State product went 19-for-33 for 166 yards, no touchdowns and a pick in his NFL debut in last week's loss to the New York Jets in relief of Bridgewater. He'll make for a low-end QB2 flier in superflex leagues on Sunday against Minnesota.
