2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies skipper Rob Thomson said that right-hander Zack Wheeler is available to pitch for an inning in relief in Game 4 of the National League Division Series on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves, if needed. Wheeler could also start a potential Game 5 on short rest if he isn't used on Saturday. The 32-year-old got the start in Game 2 of the series against Atlanta and took the loss, allowing three earned runs on four hits while walking one and striking out five in six innings pitched. Right-hander Noah Syndergaard is getting the start in Game 4 on Saturday, but he'll be on a short leash and Wheeler could be used if Thor doesn't go deep into the ballgame.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
